About Us
We, Theresa and Brigitte Klein, are the breeders of the Landskroner Curly Kings.
Dogs have always been a part of Brigitte's life. It started with Strolch, a long-haired wire-haired dachshund mix, and Ygo, a wire-haired dachshund. In 2007, after the death of our father, our Pumi mix, Amy, joined our family. Then, in 2009, Cara, our Havanese mix, came along.
Brigitte dreamed of owning a standard poodle as a child and convinced her family of the merits of these beautiful creatures in 2019.
On August 14, 2019, Felice joined our family. She comes from a small hobby breeder, and we are grateful to her for this healthy, lovable dog who accompanies us everywhere without any problems. We appreciate her calm and balanced nature and her affectionate manner towards all people and other dogs. Dogs from this breeder have regularly gone on to become assistance dogs or to be trained at the school for the blind in Munich.
With the arrival of Felice, the idea grew to breed these beautiful dogs and contribute to their preservation. So we began building our breeding program.
At Pentecost 2020, Theresa fulfilled her dream of owning a brown standard poodle, and so our little brown whirlwind Enya joined our family. She's always full of energy and enthusiasm. She also comes from a hobby breeder who places great emphasis on health. Many thanks to Katharina for this always cheerful little whirlwind, who impresses with her intelligence and quick learning ability.
On August 14, 2021, Bruni joined us and our pack of poodles. She also comes from a small breeder in Berlin. Iris and Jens, thank you so much for this little clown, whose cheerful and friendly nature always brings joy.
In June 2022, Lucie completed our pack. Our friendly, cheerful, and open-minded little darling was born in St. Peter-Ording at Anja's place, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks for our little Lucie.
Our B-litter was born at the end of March 2023. Everyone immediately fell in love with one little black female puppy. After long and careful consideration, Theresa decided that Isabella would stay with us.
Our primary breeding goal is to produce healthy dogs. We place particular emphasis on a very low inbreeding coefficient and, ideally, the absence of Addison's disease in either parent's line. It goes without saying that the dogs should have a pleasant temperament and be versatile.
Our dogs have all attended puppy and young dog school and are also proving themselves in dog sports. They all do Hoopers and dummy training.
As our dogs gradually grew up, we furthered our education through many VDH seminars, books, and many interesting conversations with other breeders, etc.
Then finally came the long-awaited day when our Felice passed her breeding suitability test with flying colors. We were so proud!
The second highlight was the successful kennel inspection, and Enya also passed her breeding suitability test with top marks in autumn 2021. Now nothing stands in the way of our breeding program for intelligent, well-tempered, and charming Standard Poodles.
In the meantime, Bruni, Lucie and Isabella have also successfully passed their breeding suitability test.
